Swimming Pool Winterising Service

Swimming Pool Winterisation
Prepare your swimming pool for winter
Based near Bedford, we winterise swimming pools across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Essex and North London. Closing a pool properly protects your equipment from frost and means you can take the cover off in spring to clear water rather than a green pool and a repair bill.
30 years of experience in maintaining and servicing swimming pools
We have been winterising, servicing and maintaining pools of all shapes, sizes and types for over 30 years. Most outdoor pools are winterised between late September and the end of October, once the water drops below about 15°C and before the first hard frost. It's a busy time of year, so book early.

Our winterising service includes:
- Cleaning the pool and balancing the water
- Adding winter chemicals to keep the water clean until spring
- Lowering the water level to suit your cover
- Draining and protecting the pump, filter, pipework and heat pump against frost
- Fitting your winter cover, or supplying and fitting a new one
- Advice on what to check over the winter months
We also supply and fit summer and winter covers, as well as winter and summer protection covers for the summer cover and reel.
If you'd rather do it yourself, we can supply the chemicals and advise on the right routine. Our guide on how to winterise a swimming pool takes you through each step. We also offer regular servicing and maintenance for the rest of the year.
When spring comes, our pool opening service will get you swimming again.
