We have been opening, servicing and maintaining pools of all shapes, sizes and types for over 30 years. Most pools are opened between March and May, once the weather starts to warm up. Spring is a busy time of year, so it helps to book early.
Our swimming pool opening service includes:
- Remove, clean and store your winter pool cover.
- Check the pool, liner and surrounds for any damage over winter.
- Remove debris from the pool.
- Refill your pool to the correct level.
- Reconnect and start up the pump, filter and plant.
- Brush and vacuum the pool.
- Balance the pool water.
- Shock treat your pool.
- Add any other speciality chemicals.
- Re-install ladders and deck equipment.
We also supply and fit summer and winter covers, as well as winter and summer protection covers for the summer cover and reel.

Pool Opening FAQs
When should I open my pool?
Usually between March and May. Air temperatures consistently above about 7°C are a good sign it is time to start.
My pool has gone green over winter. Can you still open it?
Yes. We will treat the water as part of the start-up.
Do you check the equipment?
Yes. We start up the pump, filter and plant and let you know if anything needs attention.
Can I book winterising at the same time?
Yes. Many customers book both, and we can include them in a servicing contract.
Do you open commercial pools?
Yes. We open and recommission commercial pools as well as private pools.
